First edition of the Trail "Between Sea and Sky" Laigueglia in the province of Savona, and before race Circuit Trail of the Ligurian Mountains .
First note by highlighting: the proceeds from this event will be donated to the association Cresc.i. , non-profit organization of Savona. Bravo!
We decided to join later, just ten days before the event date, and I, most of Federico and Antonio, having trouble with money online, I could not make it in time to fall in the maximum number of 200iscritti .. but beyond me, many other requests have "forced" the organizers to increase the number of students admitted, so I made the transfer and sent a medical certificate. But when I arrived, just minutes before departure, I discovered that not result in the participant list ... And it goes well, I said to myself that I care a bib? I still run this race and I am made a lot of km to get here, imagine if this beautiful morning, the rainy weather forecast for Davan, I'm still waiting for the others.
And so we left and I left, the beach, a few hundred meters on the sand before you start to climb up one of those typical tough steps that climb the hills overlooking the sea, and then go to a singletrack even more sloping .. I suffered a lot, that ascent, more than normal, and then, when it is finished and starts a stretch corribile, suffered again, and felt a certain "ants" the sole of the foot, a loss of sensitivity of the foot .. I thought so to loosen the lacing, but not gone, I have continued to run, and the sensation of numbness persisted .. I thought the "calf guard" them down and I noticed that I had left their mark on the skin of the seam: string too! therefore prevent proper circulation! I have completely lowered the ankles, and paused a bit, and I started to run. It seemed better, but the greater the pace and effort, the more the feeling grew again, so I stopped and I removed them completely, thinking that perhaps they were still tightening around the ankle, I was still waiting for the sensitivity returned and I started to run, finally acknowledge that without the annoying return. I kept a good rhythm, especially those descended from the uneven rocky, very uneven and treacherous, I dealt with letting go of his legs, running at the maximum of my possibilities, really enjoy fully secure the support given to me by my INOV X-TALON 190.
I did a lot of pictures, unfortunately the light of the sun low in the sky, and the refraction due to the waters of the sea, were not the best lighting conditions to fully appreciate the scenery, and lots of photos did not turn out well. The hills of the Ligurian this side are very bleak, and there are few stretches of path covered by dense forest vegetation. Some pool mud every now and then, on a route which are taken very muddy and slippery.
Returning to the races I want to cite the opinion with which I fully agree, Fabio Menino, whom I met yesterday at the Pasta Party (4 types of the very welcome first served ..) posted on the Forum DistancePlus
"Path: Grade 8 - constant changes of pace, the first steep slope breaks leg, from truly unique scenery. I have suffered from some sections of asphalt, but this is my mental strain. downhills with lots of stones. Surely a path rewarding. First and last mile on the sand.
Bailiwick: Grade 10 - simply perfect. Done mainly with signals on the ground. Essential and effective. As I ran I thought to myself that it was impossible to take a wrong turn. But no, it happened to Andrea Vipiana when he was in 5th place. E 'come down highway extending approximately 10 km. Upon arrival it was a loaded one by all against him. Andrea admitted that the error is only by impitare himself.
assistance in the running: Grade 10 - these volunteers in all intersections. I honestly do not think I have ever seen a similar involvement of volunteers in any race.

One thing I would add to this view, of a purely" aesthetic ", is the fact that it did not appreciate having to repeat the last part of the path, a path on which we had passed at the beginning and I think that those three miles in less than could have been avoided would have taken anything to the race, I, free from any ethical responsibility as a competitor, because my presence was not included among the members who have made the list, I preferred to cut and affixed to take pictures of people who otherwise would not have ever met, especially at the end, after the wonderful and fun way that the final descent to the beach, and finally to the finish.
